James 1:2 (World English Bible)
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations,”
"Count it" is the Greek hegeomai, a verb of judgment: how you decide to regard a thing, not how you feel it. The trials, peirasmoi, means a putting to proof. James isn't asking you to feel joy. He's asking you to rule: the test that proves faith also forges it.
Name one trial you're in. What could it be forging in you?

A real morning text. Quoted as published; the reflection is Lumoro's own.
